If you are not the owner of the building you cannot apply for an evacuation scheme unless the owner has authorised you to make an application.

A person authorised in writing to apply for an evacuation scheme is known as an Authorised Applicant. Proof of authorisation must be attached to the application form.

Top Definitions of Owner

For evacuation scheme applications for all properties other than unit titled properties "Owner" means the person for the time being entitled to receive the rack rent thereof, or who would be so entitled if the property were let at a rack rent. This is defined in section 2 of the Fire Service Act 1975. For unit titled properties "Owner" means the body corporate. This is defined in section 21B(4) of the Fire Service Act 1975.
